PEI's student institutions
PEI's post-secondary scene is small and close-knit. Students at each of these schools can sign up with their school email:
- UPEI: the main campus in Charlottetown, including the Atlantic Veterinary College. Students sign up with
@upei.ca. - Holland College: the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown, plus campuses in Summerside and elsewhere on the Island. Students sign up with
@hollandcollege.com. - Collège de l'Île: the Island's French-language college, based in Wellington. Students sign up with their college email.
Charlottetown and Summerside
Most PEI students live in or commute to Charlottetown, in Sherwood, Spring Park, Brighton, Parkdale and downtown. See our Charlottetown student housing page for more. Summerside has a Holland College campus and is the Island's second city. On SubSwap you search around a school or city, or pick the whole province. SubSwap is still new on the Island, so there may not be many listings yet. If you have a room to fill, post it.
UPEI's off-campus housing page for students is a good place to start, and our PEI student housing guide covers UPEI and Holland College in more detail.

Why verification matters on PEI
PEI's student population is small enough that the same scams and bad-roommate stories get around quickly. On SubSwap, every student signs up with a school email, landlords can only post after our team approves them, and every roommate match needs mutual interest. The Island is too small for cold messages from strangers.
